He has completed his MBBS degree from the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Medical Municipal College (LTMMC), Mumbai which has produced many eminent surgeons. It was followed by pursuing an MS degree in orthopedics from PGI of Swasthiyog Pratishthan, Miraj under the doyen of Indian Orthopedics, Dr. G S Kulkarni.
After post graduation, he has spent time in the USA at Fair Oaks hospital in Fairfax, under Dr. Tony Aram learning the intricacies of Joint replacement surgery. He has also done a fellowship at Orthopedic Associates of Michigan under Dr. John Anderson and Dr. Donald Bohay who are master Foot and Ankle surgeons.
